Responsibility boundaries
Clear roles for software, suppliers and homeowners
Pocketa aims to be honest about what the platform can help with and what still needs human expertise on site. When in doubt, confirm before purchase and check with a qualified professional for regulated work.
Pocketa is in early build. These boundaries explain how the platform should be used as features are developed.
What Pocketa helps with
The product focus is organisation and helpful sourcing context, so you can see what may still be open and what you already decided.
- Kitchen project setup and a personalised checklist structure
- Product categories that may apply, editable as you learn more
- Saving items, links and notes while you compare options
- Recording purchases, including items bought outside Pocketa
- Receipts and delivery style details kept with the project record
What Pocketa does not replace
Software can summarise and sort information. It cannot see your walls, services or access routes. It also cannot accept liability for regulated decisions that belong with qualified people.
- On site measurements and install sequencing from your fitter
- Electrical, gas and plumbing design where a qualified person is required
- Structural advice, surveys and building control where applicable
- Supplier warranties, returns policies and fulfilment commitments
- Legal, lease or insurance questions that need a specialist adviser
Where to confirm details
Use Pocketa to prepare questions and capture answers you receive from trades and suppliers. The list below is commonly considered worth double checking before you order.
- Product dimensions against your plan and room obstructions
- Compatibility between appliances, services and cabinets
- Ventilation requirements for your hob type and room layout
- Fire, moisture and access requirements that may apply in your property
Supplier responsibility
Suppliers remain responsible for accurate listings, stock, pricing at the point of sale, lead times, delivery and their own terms. If something conflicts between Pocketa notes and a supplier document, treat the supplier document as the source to verify unless you have agreed otherwise in writing.
User responsibility
You remain responsible for choices you make, for checking with your fitter where sequencing matters, and for confirming before purchase that items suit your project. If you are unsure about regulations or safety critical details, pause and get advice from a qualified professional.
