Primary source: KBBFocus · Caesarstone signals confidence in the UK market with major new investment · 6 August 2026

Caesarstone is investing in a new national distribution centre in Lutterworth as part of a wider UK and Ireland expansion programme.

The company says the move will increase its UK stockholding by up to 50% and improve national distribution and product availability. It is also creating a Brand Experience Centre at the Lutterworth site and is planning a further showroom in southern England for 2027, subject to the site and development being finalised.

For homeowners specifying a Caesarstone worktop, the useful part is the additional stock capacity. It may improve the upstream availability of surfaces, but it does not remove the separate templating, slab allocation, fabrication and installation stages of a made-to-measure worktop.

Caesarstone is moving its UK distribution operation to a new Lutterworth facility and says the additional capacity will allow UK stockholding to rise by up to 50%.

Why it matters

More stock held nationally can improve product availability, but a slab being available to the supplier is not the same thing as a finished worktop being ready for installation.

What happened

Caesarstone UK and Ireland has announced an investment programme centred on a new national distribution facility in Lutterworth.

The company says the move will provide more warehouse capacity, increase UK stockholding by up to 50% and improve its ability to distribute products nationally. Trade reporting also describes the investment as part of the company’s longer-term expansion of its UK showroom and customer-support network.

A new Brand Experience Centre is planned within the Lutterworth facility. Caesarstone is also working towards a separate southern showroom targeted for 2027, although that remains subject to final site selection and development.

The stockholding figure is a company capacity and investment statement. It does not establish that every colour, thickness or material will be immediately available at all times.

Why it matters for UK kitchen projects

Worktops have an unusual place in a kitchen programme because availability has several stages.

First, the required material has to be available.

Then the kitchen normally has to reach the point at which an accurate template can be taken. The slabs have to be allocated, the worktop fabricated with the required edges and cut-outs, transported to site and installed.

Increasing stock at the beginning of that chain can reduce one source of delay. It does not remove the rest of the chain.

This distinction matters particularly where a project programme simply records “worktop: two weeks” or another single lead-time figure without defining what starts the clock.

A supplier may have a slab in stock while the fabricator has no immediate production slot. Equally, a fabricator may have capacity but be waiting for a particular surface.

The new Caesarstone facility therefore gives homeowners a useful reason to ask a more precise availability question rather than assuming that a larger warehouse automatically means a shorter end-to-end installation time.

What to check in your project

Record the exact Caesarstone range, product name or code, colour, material type, finish and thickness against the quote. Similar-looking samples should not be treated as interchangeable without checking the specification.

Ask whether the required slab is currently held in UK stock and whether it has actually been allocated or reserved for your order.

Keep the fabricator’s name beside the worktop line. The surface manufacturer, kitchen retailer and fabricator may be different businesses with different responsibilities.

Record the trigger for templating and the conditions that have to be met before the template can take place. Base units, panels, sinks, hobs or other elements may need to be in their final positions depending on the installation method.

Then record the fabrication and installation dates separately.

If a retailer describes the new distribution investment as evidence of improved availability, ask what that means for the exact product in your project today. The relevant answer is the live stock and fabrication position for that specification, not the percentage increase in Caesarstone’s overall warehouse capacity.
